2A Match Report
14 November: vs Eden Roskill White at Keith Hay Park #4
The game again started well with ACSSC captain Larry Stephens winning the toss for the third week in a row and putting Eden Roskill into bat. Casper Buchannan flying in from his new base in Australia on the morning of the game struck in his first over and again in his third over, at 30/2 things looked good.
Larry Stephens bowling first change off a short run due to his injury the previous week then snapped up two quick wickets, the Eden Roskill number three however batted very well leading his team to 119/4 at drinks. After drinks he continued to cut loose, the introduction of Dave Freeman picking up four wickets at the other end failed to stem the runflow. Eden Roskill finished on 292/8 - Glen their number three batsman scoring an unbeaten 163.

After lunch of sausages back to the normal high standard expected within the team the ACSSC team set about chasing the big total. Lee Gornall and Cam McKenzie started very well, the momentum continued by Rod Turner and Andy Arnold taking the team to 106/3 at drinks, well placed to charge for the total. The regular fall of wickets however of batsmen getting a start but not going on to produce a big score left the ACSSC team well short of the target, the innings finishing at 223/9.

Player of the day was again Dave Freeman with 122 points, Casper Buchannan second with 58 points and Mike Clegg third with 52 points.
With both of the teams the ACSSC team has faced in the last two weeks unbeaten this season and the Cornwall team this coming weekend also unbeaten this is certainly a tough start.
